My Thoughts:

This is a short story about Jane and how she deals with her new single status and divorce. This is just season 1 as the author calls it which means there are more stories to follow. On one had, the story is a little predictable and does not explore the feelings of the characters deeply. However, for those who like a light romantic read this is ideal.

The Roche Hotel is the main setting of this story and all the incidents that take place there turn out to be quite funny and entertaining. The reader is bound to end up laughing. Jerry, the maintenance guy’s character is quite fun to read about and all the romantics out there will fall in love with the Donut Guy, Henry. The bond Jane shares with her mother is something special and the author has handled it beautifully. I can assure you that those who love doughnuts will be delighted and those who do not have them often will be inspired to do so! This story is definitely worth a read.
